Volkswagen ID Tiguan Set to Replace ID 4 as New EV SUV
Volkswagen is preparing to launch the ID Tiguan, a fully electric SUV that will succeed the ID 4 after production ends at the Chattanooga plant. Built on the MEB+ platform, the ID Tiguan is expected to carry a 77 kWh battery pack delivering up to 480 km (WLTP) and feature a dual‑motor AWD system with a combined output of 250 kW (335 hp). The model will incorporate a revised interior architecture with a larger infotainment screen, augmented reality head‑up display, and a new digital cockpit that supports OTA updates. Production tooling is already in place, and VW has confirmed sufficient inventory of the outgoing ID 4 to meet demand through 2027, smoothing the transition for customers.Interested in This Model's True Market Value & Damage History?
