Electric Vehicles Revolutionize Automotive Industry

Volkswagen is preparing to bring some of its Chinese-engineered and built models to Europe, plugging gaps in its future product range as the German giant goes through a vast restructuring process to reduce complexity and costs. Speaking on a half-yearly results call, Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume said: “Volkswagen Group in China, we’re a China player, and with the market [as it is], it opens the same opportunities as Chinese brands when it comes to export.” No specific timeline has been laid out yet, but this move will build on a larger plan to turn VW’s ‘In China For China’ program into a hub for markets in the eastern and southern hemispheres.

BMW Thinks Electric M3 Will Surpass Gas-Powered Model

BMW seems to want a smooth transition from the traditional gas-powered M3 to the new electric one. So rather than make a sudden change from one generation to the next, it’s simply making both. For the next-gen M3, you’ll have the choice of either a turbocharged straight-six or a fully electric quad-motor powertrain.

BMW thinks the electric M3 will be so good, you’ll forget all about the gas one. “Now we are fighting against [ourselves], because we have to make sure that the car is better than the previous one,” said a BMW spokesperson. The electric M3 is expected to be a significant improvement over its gas-powered counterpart, with its advanced technology and impressive performance.
